Re: 'Parking fee for Bluffers Park irks resident,' News, Aug. 6.
Bluffers Park has been a great success since it was first built in to the water.
So why doesn't the city run a community bus from Warden station south on Warden Avenue, east on Kingston Road, south on Brimley Road into the park and return via the same route?
This would allow people who don't wish to drive, who don't own cars or seniors and children access to the park and take away the pressure on the parking lots. The TTC runs buses in other areas of the city, taking people to malls and subways to relieve pressure on city buses and help seniors get out and about.
A bus to Bluffers Park is safer than having people walking up and down the road as there is no sidewalk.
The amount of cars being turned away at the top of the hill and parking on side streets as well as hundreds of people walking up and down this hill on any nice weekend is ridiculous.
